At or around 6:00, the Feast of Divine Proportions will be served. Space may be made available “off-board” for those who wish to witness the performances but choose not to partake in the feast. Please bring your own tableware (plates, bowls, spoons, etc.). Loaner feast gear may be borrowed from the Chatelaine.
We begin our meal with a morsel of Renaissance Italian Improv Comedy. Whether to whet the appetite, turn the
stomach, or void the bladder, the greatest Commedia dell’Arte
Troupe in the Entire World is sure to satisfy.
A smattering of cold finger foods to accompany discussion of the finer forms of pratfalls will be brought by the serving staff from the credenza.
•dates, figs, and raisins
•plain, cheese, and fruit pizzas
To warm the soul and stir the spirit, the quire of Carolingia shall sing a collection of rustic Italian songs about secrets, love, and hey-nonny-nonny.
Stewed, roasted, and boiled, the first course provides food for thought.
•carrots and parsnips
•roasted chicken with 3 sauces
Ever the unpredictable, the Baron’s Fool, Master Christian Lansinger von Jaueregk shall put fire the belly of the populace, stretch the laughing muscles, and clear the body of foul humors.
The triumphant conclusion to the night’s festivities, the second course features baked and roasted foods accompanied by a cool and cleansing salad.
